As promised last night here is the first part of my test shoot with Nicolette of Modelogic/Wilhelmina.
Nicolette was brought to my attention when Julia, a rep from Modelogic came to me asking if I was willing to test with some of her girls.  I said yes and she sent me a book of those available.  I was unable to get my first choice, Sonya, and ended up with Nicolette.  I am so happy it ended up this way.
Nicolette was discovered in a Starbucks while ordering morning coffee on the way to school.  She never once considered the possibility of modeling but decided that life is short so why not try!  This was her first shoot, she came to us green as can be.  I was prepping the location and I wandered out in the hallway and found Nicolette looking around.  She claims she was nervous but I couldn’t tell.  She was sweet, kind and energetic.  As soon as she got in front of the camera it was like she had been modeling for years.  The shoot was a blast!  She was willing to try anything!  John-John’s styling was on par and top notch.  This was my first time working for the Baltimore Sun Magazine stylist and fashion writer and I dare say it wont be my last.  The chemistry was amazing. Leah once again lent her talent in makeup and Lashelle Hill did the hair.  It was my first time with Lashelle as well, she was also a blast to work with.
I hope you guys enjoy the first part of the session.  These shoots serve as promotion and portfolio pieces and are quite a lot of work.  We spend days gathering samples, scouting and then hours shooting.  So if you like this session please reblog and tell your friends about it!
After the shoot we all went out for some cocktails and food.  What a delight!
